Jemma's resolution specifically: 2/10
My thoughts.
Effective immediately, four modes of play:
- Still ignoring her being married to Fitz in the first place (honestly the default, sorry Alya); since there was no romance, there was no frustrating fucking-off-to-a-time-pocket interlude at all and she's still fighting the good science fight on the front lines (or at the Academy)
- Fitz was somehow killed before the final showdown just like Jemma worried about, or maybe he was killed during it, either way Jemma ends the series unattached to him but with some of the related stuff in her backstory
- They were together, resulting in Alya, and things progressed as in canon but Fitz has since succumbed to that speculative brain cancer discussed in the link and she's now a single mother who fights the good science fight, almost definitely at the Academy
- Canon-adjacent, including marriage and Alya and Fitz, but with the caveats that he's the stay at home dad, she still does science work but slightly more freelance while Alya is still young, and they're also polyamorous
